Marinated TempehTotal servings: 4
500 g tempeh, cut into slices or cubes (depends on recipe)
200 ml water or vegetable broth
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 Tbs vinegar
2 slices fresh ginger
2 Tbs tamari or soy sauce
Combine all ingredients in a dish, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Transfer ingredients to a saucepan. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, turning tempeh once. Remove tempeh, and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
This marinated tempeh can be used as ingredient in a variety of recipes. Or you can bake the slices in oil until crispy and eat them!
