Sausage rolls

Ingredients

250 g tempeh, finely crumbled
3 sheets of puff pastry
2 medium carrots, finely grated
1 Tbs tomato sauce
1 tsp dried mediterranean herbs
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbs soy sauce
1 egg, beaten
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Mix the tempeh with the carrots, tomato sauce, soy sauce, herbs and spices. Cut the pastry sheets in half and brush one side of each piece with the beaten egg. Make 6 rolls of the tempeh mixture and roll them up in the pastry pieces and press to seal the seam. Place the rolls on a tray lined with baking paper and brush the tops with the beaten egg. Prick the rolls with a fork. Bake in an oven at 200°C until golden, which will take about 15 minutes.
