Make own tempeh
It is very easy and rewarding to make tempeh at home. All you need are some soybeans, a bit of tempeh starter and a warm place to incubate.

Sweet and Sour Tempeh 2

Recipe ingredients

 3 Tbs vegetable oil
 1 clove garlic, crushed
 250 g tempeh, cut in 1 cm cubes
 4 Tbs vinegar
 100 m orange juice or pineapple juice
 4 Tbs shoyu or Tamari
 3 Tbs white sugar

Recipe directions

Bake the garlic and tempeh in the vegetable oil until the tempeh is brown and crispy on the outside.

Add the vinegar, orange juice or pineapple juice, shoyu and sugar. Stir to dissolve and and boil over medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes, until the sause is a bit thicker.

Remove the pan from the heat and this sweet and sour tempeh with rice.
