Make own tempeh
It is very easy and rewarding to make tempeh at home. All you need are some soybeans, a bit of tempeh starter and a warm place to incubate.

Lemon Marinated Tempeh

Recipe ingredients

 50 ml lemon juice
 1/2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
 pepper to taste
 300 g tempeh, cut in thin slices
 1 large onion, sliced into rings
 4 Tbs vegetable oil
 4 hamburger rolls

Recipe directions

Preheat the oven to 400°F. To make the marinade combine the lemon juice, thyme, shoyu and pepper. Pour the mariande over the tempeh and onion and refrigerate for 4 to 8 hours.

Drain the tempeh and onions and bake in the vegetable oil until the tempeh is slightly brown and crispy.

Put the tempeh and onions on the hamburger rolls. Garnish with lettuce and tomatoes.
