Make own tempeh
It is very easy and rewarding to make tempeh at home. All you need are some soybeans, a bit of tempeh starter and a warm place to incubate.

Chili Tempeh

Recipe ingredients

 250 g tempeh, cut in small cubes
 2 Tbs vegetable oil
 2 cups tomato sauce
 1 onion, chopped
 1 Tbs shoyu or tamari
 1 Tbs prepared mustard
 1 clove garlic
 1 tsp cumin powder
 2 Tbs chili powder

Recipe directions

Sauté tempeh in oil for about 10 minutes, until lightly browned and crispy. Add remainder of ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes.

Serve over rice.
