Make own tempeh
It is very easy and rewarding to make tempeh at home. All you need are some soybeans, a bit of tempeh starter and a warm place to incubate.

Chili Tempeh

Recipe ingredients

 200g tempeh
 1 large onion, diced
 500 ml tomato puree
 1 Tbs tamari
 1 Tbs dry mustard
 1 tsp cumin
 1 clove garlic, crushed
 2 Tbs oil
 3 Tbs chili powder

Recipe directions

Cut the tempeh into small cubes.

Sauté the tempeh cubes in oil for about 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Add the other ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve with rice.
