|500 g tempeh, cut into slices or cubes (depends on recipe)|
|200 ml water or vegetable broth|
|2 cloves garlic, crushed|
|1 Tbs vinegar|
|2 slices fresh ginger|
|2 Tbs tamari or soy sauce|
Combine all ingredients in a dish, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Transfer ingredients to a saucepan. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, turning tempeh once. Remove tempeh, and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
This marinated tempeh can be used as ingredient in a variety of recipes. Or you can bake the slices in oil until crispy and eat them!
